I’m a mama to two of the sweetest souls, Esme and Roman and a partner to the most supportive man. And I’m a photographer with the belief that I was born to wander this earth, camera in hand. It stirs some kind of unbridled passion in me - and it’s effortless.
I strive to capture moments; fleeting and unaffected, filled with movement, joy and whimsy. To tell stories, create memories that solicit a pang of nostalgia.
I think I’ve always known I wanted, rather, needed to become a photographer. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t pored over Vogue fashion shoots, the story-telling aesthetic seeping into my subconscious, and felt a whole body urge to create something similar. It has been a journey to get here. It’s taken a degree in photography, backpacking through Europe and Asia and working on documentaries and television, all the while photographing along the way, with something guiding me to this point. There have been years of photographing various genres all along the way, but ultimately it has been my children, for me to realise that capturing people, particularly mamas and children, is what I’m meant to do. It’s timeless, love-filled and overflowing with beauty and connection.
I feel that we are all connected in this world and I’m committed to using my work to donate 10% of my profits to Lift International, a NZ NGO dedicated to rescuing victims of sex slavery and trafficking in South East Asia. It’s my small but heartfelt offering.
I would love to hear from you to discuss how we can collaborate to create bespoke, meaningful imagery for you.
